About me

Hello!

I’m Thuy (pronounced “twee”).I’ve been working with clay for over 20 years, though it started as just a class I needed to graduate. Somewhere along the way, it became something I kept coming back to. Through moving across the country as a military spouse, through different seasons of life, and now while raising our kid.

Clay has been the constant. Pottery was never my backup plan or my burnout escape. It’s what I chose—again and again.

These days, I focus on making pieces meant to be used every day—a mug for your morning coffee, a dish for meals shared with people you love. Simple things that become part of your routine over time.

A lot of my work is inspired by the things I genuinely enjoy and wish existed, like whimsical cauldron mugs (I like a little magic in daily life) and rock climbing, which has led me to create climbing-themed pieces I haven’t really seen out there.

I don’t see pots as just functional objects. The ones we reach for daily end up holding more than they were made for comfort, connection, small moments that matter. That sounds super cringe but we all know that feeling.

Thank you for supporting my work!
